The City invites community feedback on proposed changes (attached) to the Amended and Restated Unified Housing Policy. These changes seek to clarify the definitions between a multi-phased development project and a building site for which a building permit is issued, as they relate to the Inclusionary Zoning policy. The purpose of these changes is to make clear that Inclusionary Zoning requirements apply to each building in a multi-phase development. Inclusionary Zoning is intended to advance the City’s housing goals by ensuring that affordable housing is provided in new residential or mixed-use developments.
The deadline to submit comments is Monday, August 23rd by 4:30pm. Please provide public comments to Emily Carr. If you or your group would like to meet to discuss the changes, or if you have questions, please contact Emily Carr at [email protected].
