The recent MN Dept of Human Rights (MDHR) settlement agreement requires independent oversight of the City of Mpls and Mpls Police Department by an Independent Evaluator. The Independent Evaluator will be a key third-party that will evaluate how the City carries out the terms of the settlement agreement and help move the City into compliance.

The City of Mpls is hosting two community sessions for the public to get an opportunity to meet and ask questions of the three Independent Evaluator candidates.

• Tuesday, Jan 9 from 6 - 8 pm at the Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs (Cowles Auditorium), 301 19th Ave. S. (Livestream will be provided).
• Wednesday, Jan 10 from 6 - 8 pm. at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1919 LaSalle Ave. (Livestream will be provided).

Translators for ASL, Spanish, Hmong, Somali and Oromo will be available at each session.

The public can submit questions here for the candidates in advance of the sessions. After the community sessions, the public will be able to provide feedback on the candidates that the City and MDHR will review before selecting an Independent Evaluator. This is a significant step in the settlement process as the Independent Evaluator will play an important role in making sure the City and MPD are on track with making transformational changes as required by the MDHR settlement agreement
