Join us and your neighbors on Sat, Oct. 28 to celebrate the reopening of the historic Third Ave. Bridge in Minneapolis!
What: Third Ave. Bridge Reopening Community Celebration
When: Sat, Oct. 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Bridge approaches in downtown Minneapolis and St. Anthony Main
This family-friendly event is free and open to the public. We will kick it off with a welcome message from MnDOT and a ribbon cutting from 11-11:30 a.m. then encourage you to check out the activities we have planned:
11:30 a.m., 12:15 a.m. and 1 p.m.:
Historic walking tours. Please RSVP in advance.
11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.:
Food truck, music, artist-facilitated pumpkin painting, neighborhood-hosted activities, free little library, lawn games, and an up-close experience with construction vehicles

Schedule update
Third Ave. Bridge construction is anticipated to be completed by the end of October. First, the bridge will reopen to pedestrians and bicyclists on Sat, Oct. 28 in conjunction with our community celebration. Use the new pathways to check out event activities on both sides of the bridge.
The bridge will reopen to buses and vehicle traffic at 5 a.m. on Mon, Oct. 30, weather and schedule permitting.
