RE: Dinkytown Commercial Historic District Design Guidelines
In 2023, the City of Minneapolis began drafting design guidelines for the Dinkytown Commercial Historic District. Community input and participation at engagement meetings in Fall 2023 helped shaped the final design guidelines. Please see the attached map to know which properties are in the Dinkytown Commercial Historic District. The guidelines will not apply to properties outside of these boundaries.
The Heritage Preservation Commission (HPC) will hold a public hearing to consider adoption of these design guidelines at their Tuesday, July 23, 2024, meeting at 4:30 PM in City Council Chambers in room 350 on the third floor of the Public Service Center at 250 4th ST S. This will be a public hearing, where you can provide verbal comments if you wish. You may also submit your written comments to staff via e-mail, and we will ensure the Heritage Preservation Commission receives a copy of them. The staff report will be posted online at https://lims.minneapolismn.gov/calendar/independent/upcoming/hpc# roughly one week before the meeting.
